Shatiya Williams
Program Manager – Changing Voices
Shatiya has had extensive experience serving youth and adolescents in both the classroom as well as the nonprofit sector. Prior to this role, Shatiya served as a program manager at Dr. Pedro Albizu Campos, and worked with youth at the following organizations, Y.O.U, Heartland Alliance and Centers for New Horizons. Shatiya prides herself on using her interpersonal and therapeutic skills to foster a supportive relationship with the youth and adolescents that she serves. Shatiya is passionate about changing the way we discipline children from punitive based to restorative based. After years of working with children, she’s learned there’s often an underlying issue to children’s behavior and many just need their needs met. Shatiya is a graduate of The Chicago School of Professional Psychology with a MA in psychology. She is a native of Shreveport, LA but has called Chicago home for several years. She is a lover of nature and enjoys hikes, walks and trips to the lakefront. Her hobbies include curling up with a good book and a newfound love of plants.
