Layne Crutsinger
Teaching Artist
Layne Crutsinger (She/Her) graduated from The University of Memphis with a BFA in Theatre and a minor in Dance, having concentrated in Musical Theatre. In addition to performing during undergrad, she found a passion for playwriting and directing, helming multiple full-length immersive productions with an emphasis on accessibility and inclusion. In addition to her original works, performances, and readings, she is a proud member of the premiere cast and creative team of FEMMEMPHIS’ Pretty, a devised exploration of the societal pressures on femme bodies and spaces. When she’s not working with Thesholds to serve the Chicago area, she’s typing scripts and reading plays as fast as she can.
