Two of our most critical allies at Warrenville will join Storycatchers program leadership for a discussion about the Word Warriors program for youth at IYC-Warrenville and the long-term impact of Storycatchers upon our youth, our partners – and even ourselves.
The panel will include IYC-Warrenville Superintendent Jakki Alexander and Assistant Superintendent of Programs Jamie Timm-Stewart, Storycatchers Director of Arts Education Programs Mbali Guliwe, and our Warrenville Artistic Lead Talia Gold. The panel will include one of our alumni, who will speak directly to her personal experience with Storycatchers.
Enjoy hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar while learning more about our creative youth development programs for system-impacted young people. (Each ticketed guest will receive a coupon for one free drink on us.)
We hope you can join us in person at the intimate Venus Cabaret Theater space in the Mercury Theater, located at 3745 N Southport – but if you can’t, we invite you to join us on Zoom. The doors of the Venus Cabaret will open at 6:30 PM and the program will begin promptly at 7:00 PM.
Parking in such a vibrant and active neighborhood, like the Southport Corridor, can be challenging. Allow yourself ample time to find a good spot and arrive for the event without feeling rushed. Street parking is available.
We want to express our deep gratitude to our friends at the Mercury Theater for donating the space.
