Sarina Balraj

Case Manager

Sarina has worked in a variety of clinical settings including substance abuse treatment, childcare, private practice, and housing. She orients around a creative and eclectic client centered, trauma informed, strengths-based way of practicing. Her lifelong fascination with human behavior, social systems and social justice has led to her earning a B.A in psychology from Denison University and a M.A in Social Work, Policy and Administration from the University of Chicago. Sarina also has a deep love of theater and storytelling, the expressive arts and the way that they allow us to bring into reality our intangible subjective experience. She brings the fusion of her love for the expressive arts and clinical empowerment to Storycatchers’s Changing Voices Program. When not at work she loves nothing more than curling up with a good book or working on her latest impulsive creative project with her beautiful fluffy cat, Kaya.
