“We cannot seek achievement for ourselves and forget about the progress and prosperity for our community; our ambitions must be broad enough to include the aspirations and needs of others for their sake and for our own.”
– Cesar Chavez
I live by this qoute as much as possible with my daily walk. My theatre Teaching Artist experiences in Texas, Louisiana, and Illinois have been in broken communities of magical unheard stories that need ears. I have been the ear and heart for the youth and the elders connected to that youth for over a decade and I enjoy it. After earning a degree at Southern A&M University of Baton Rouge in Theater in 2009, I dedicated time to follow the passion to share stories and assist with storytelling. I continue to strive for that every day.
