Google Hangout: Collaborating with Juvenile Justice Facilities

12/05/2019 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Storycatchers Theatre 1

Interested in juvenile justice, the arts, and trauma-informed programs? Want to start your own Storycatchers-like program in your state?

Storycatchers creates bridges of dialogue between juvenile justice facilities and communities across Illinois, but we can’t be everywhere at once. You’ve been contacting us with questions of how to build a program in collaboration with juvenile justice facilities in your own state; we have answers.

This webinar will feature Artistic Director and Storycatchers Founder, Meade Palidofsky, in conversation with Michael Byrd, Assistant Superintendent of Programs at IYC-Chicago. You will learn how to build a mutually beneficial relationship with juvenile justice facilities, including:

  • Navigating barriers in the juvenile justice system
  • Attracting valuable partners to an arts-based juvenile justice initiative
  • The basics of what to expect when working with highly-traumatized youth
  • Significant Q & A portion

Click here to join our video call directly at the time of the event on December 5th 1:00 – 2:00 PM CST, or RSVP below to get a calendar invitation sent directly to your inbox.
