Elizia Artis
Program Manager – Changing Voices
Elizia Artis is a community outreach professional with eight years of experience managing volunteers, developing educational programs for youth and adults, and documenting best practices for various nonprofits and private companies. From her time receiving her BA in International Studies at Seattle University to her year of AmeriCorps service, Elizia has consistently looked at local and international problems through a social justice lens.
She prides herself in an impactful record of volunteer recruitment and retention at previous positions working with East African refugees in Seattle, mentoring programs throughout Michigan, and community education in Flint, MI. These opportunities continue to fuel her passion for improving literacy and graduation rates, increasing job opportunities, and fostering self-esteem for children and young adults.
She is excited to form a future with Storycatchers Theatre built on amplifying unheard and often-ignored voices—particularly those of young people and people of color. When she is not working, you can find Elizia in the kitchen experimenting with new and family recipes while listening to WBEZ and podcasts.
