Storycatchers began developing its award-winning residential program model for court-involved youth at Cook County Juvenile Detention Center with the first Temporary LockDown program in 1990. The company conducts the current Temporary LockDown program with the generous support of the Chicago Community Trust as part of the Arts Infusion Initiative at the Detention Center. Storycatchers uses Temporary LockDown to work with Automatic Transfers, adolescent boys who face charges in adult court.
