A little time. A lot of appreciation.

  • See a show and support our youth in their personal journey. Many of our productions take place in juvenile justice facilities, providing a backdrop that makes the stories more powerful. More poignant. More unforgettable. Many of our young people have never been on stage before and are excited to share their stories. They’re crafted with nuance, action, hope and heart-wrenching circumstance. These are stories that deserve to be heard.
  • Volunteer to take pictures or video at an event or performance. We are always looking for someone who can handle a camera and help us showcase our young peoples’ drive and determination.
  • Tell your family and friends about the performance you experienced and why they should be on the lookout for the next opportunity to attend a show. We’re quite active on social media, so tag us with your thoughts!
  • Spend a lunch at the office and help us digitize years of work.
  • Offer to do a quick, online research project for our program, marketing, or development team.

Number of hours you can commit:

Spend a day or evening with Storycatchers.

  • Volunteer at an event and enjoy the company of our staff and youth while building awareness for our mission, raising funds or making connections in a local community.
  • Hang out with our admin team to help with with a variety of office tasks. It’s the small things that add up to big impact. Help improve our workspace by scanning old scripts into PDF, inputing critical data into Excel, even do online research on juvenile justice topics.

Now we’re getting serious…

  • Help plan a community or fundraising event. Spend 4-5 hours per week for five weeks being an integral part of the team who puts on exciting, meaningful experiences throughout the year. It’s a good way to see what we do from the inside and perhaps dig deeper into the issues with which our young people struggle.
  • Take on a marketing, community engagement or development project. We need skilled volunteers who can proactively lead tiny-but-mighty initiatives. Create gift baskets for donors, plan holiday parties, organize our archival documents, reach out to businesses for donations, create a video project, optimize our Google Analytics, lead a management training.
